Okay, here's the story:

I've been meaning to join an Oekaki board so i can draw straight digitally, because my hand drawn work is turning out like crap. basically i figure if i do some digital work for a while, that'll develop my skills in CG-ing, and then i could get back to drawing by hand when i am more confident. Anyway, so a friend of mine at school (her art art kicks my ass. She hasn't got a DA account but she wants to get one, parents are iffy about giving details or something), was talking about an oekaki board over at a site for the artist formerly known as boltstryke. I had no idea that guy had established a new site with an oekaki board, and so my friend gave me the website for the oekaki. I went there and applied for an account after some browsing (EVERYTHING THERE WHOOPS MY BUTT! EVERYTHING!), but after making my account, it said that it will take a while afterwards while my account is pending. so i kept on checking back that night and nothing happened. so i thought i'd wait until the next day to check up on it, in the meantime i wanted to draw something on the compy...

So i opened up Photoshop, and using stuff like polygonal lasso to do the lines, and seperate layers for the colouring, i made this. a fully computer drawn picture of my blue bat that everyone seems to like so much. Eclipse has a lot of layers in this picture, he took a while to completely colour. All the background pattern thingys were all done today, because in this afternoon's VET multimedia class, Brent and i were messing around on the compys and he showed me how to make these cool effects, thanks buddy! the quote up there is something that came to mind, as i believe it represents greatly what this picture is all about. i drew it in an effort to prove to myself that i could do some decent art on the computer, and to prove to everyone else that i am not dead, i still have a few shreds of self confidence. It could also work for Eclipse, because in ym comic, he tries to prove to people that he isn't useless, and he wants to prove to himself that he can exceed his own low expectations. However it is interpreted, i think it fits this picture well.
Altogether the picture took maybe... 5 hours, 2 last night, 3 today.

Well, i hope you like it people. I'm considering making it into a Deviant I.D.
