I really like this shot but I don't remember an Ansel Adams point in Monument Valley. The angle doesn't look like it's from John Ford point either. ?????

i call it that (?) ansel did his famous shot of the valley from this spot - if you ever see his pic you'll notice those two fluid like rocks in the foreground - only his is in B/W...

Beautiful Looks more like a Polarizer was used, than HDR.

thanks - after looking at it (on here)i think the blue is just to blue. so i might take it back thru and make some
adjustments (?)
i'm not a big fan of using a polarizor on landscapes - just makes the sky look funky - why use a polarizor on camera when you can use one in photoshop with a NIK filter plug-in - they work really well(?)
the only times i use one is when i'm shooting waterscapes and and bright white buildings, just to cut down on the glare.

yep !
but a "fake one though" i only used a single RAW file and made the exposure-value changes there. then put it thru high-dynamic photo HDR.
