Oh, no need to apologize! It was a mixture of things that brought AoG to its demise, it was sort of inevitable that it wouldn't be able to continue for very long. That seems to be the way with online academies, no-one has really found a successful formula yet to make them work xD

You really need to do a tutorial on how you do you mane and tails, just saying

Aw, thankyou so much! I was a little concerned at first because the hair didn't quite turn out how I imagined it would, but after I'd sharpened everything and whatnot, it all looks okay. xD
Mostly just by painting, really - I also used the default Photoshop splatter brushes, they're great for creating splashes. :3

Yeah, there's a few of the default brushes that I use a lot, but the majority I have no need for (i.e. the grass ones

They're so awesome! I'm hoping to start English with Flip yet this year, or next spring if it doesn't work out. I'm super excited! They've all been doing well in general, but they're all gaining some extra weight from sitting around eating hay all day. By the time I get home from school, I only have an hour or so before it gets dark so I haven't been able to ride much :/
But, I get in some great bonding and groundwork time! ♥

Really? xD I used to use them quite a bit when blending horses into grass, but then I found painting the grass myself was more accurate.

I sure hope so! It's hard to get started though.. finding a saddle that's a good brand and also fits me and Flip, finding and instructor to help me get started, and all during the winter. :/
I'm thinking it would be easier to wait until spring.

Ah, yes - getting started is always the hardest part. There's so many saddles out there, it can be really hard to pick one that's right for both you and the horse. There's general saddles, dressage ones, jumping ones, etc. A friend of mine who owned horses said when she started she just walked into the shop and was like 'dude, I just want a saddle' xD

oh well. right now flip needs to have his hocks checked (tomorrow, I think) because he's been pretty stiff and even limping a bit. so that means no riding for him.. but roxy's been doing great! :D

Oh, It's amazing! When I was last here in 2007 I kind of did all the tourist-y things, so now on this holiday it's more about soaking up the culture rather than visiting all the sights. And soaking up the culture includes eating many, many croissants, obviously. :3

Yes, it was! It only snowed for about 20minutes but it was lovely nonetheless.
I'm in Nice now, after a 5hr train ride from Paris, and the weather is much nicer here! It's cool but not that bitter coldness that Paris had. And blue skies, too!
