Description
SUPRISE GUYS, it's a new tutorial! And a rather hefty equine armour tutorial, at that.

Warning: The file is huge, about 5000px long, so be prepared!

Whilst halfway through my latest work, I was busy painting armour and thought about the lack of tutorials that focus on the one thing I always struggled with - painting equine armour. So, now that I'm sort of decent at it (I hope), I figured I'd make my own tutorial! This tutorial is aimed at beginners, and it meets my classification of SUPER SIMPLE because it only makes use of a few tools that every graphics program has (brush, burn, dodge and your basic moving tools). However, please note that this tutorial is designed with a tablet-user in mind - if you don't own a tablet, you may find it a lot harder to paint parts of the armour.

I'm using Photoshop CS5, but of course you may use any graphics program you have, so long as it has the basic tools required.

Enjoy!

YOU'RE WELCOME ~

If you're using a mouse, the only tip I can give would be to zoom right in and keep your brushes on a low opacity to make sure your strokes aren't too harsh (as you don't have the pen pressure ability that a tablet has). Good luck!
