ABOUT My first Devart tutorial is HERE!
During my latest manip, I decided to pause for a while and create a tutorial, for placing hooves into water, realistically.
This technique works best on horses who are not moving through the water. For horses moving through the water, this technique can still be used, but splashed may be needed as well. Don't fret - I'll do a tut for that as well soon!
Used PS CS4 Extended to make this one. Big file, at around 3000px height or somethin crazy like that...
RULES 1. Feel free to use wherever you'd like.

what's the font or how do you do the title words 'Hoof In Water Tutorial' im defiantly going to try this tutorial but ill also like to know the font of the title.

that font would probably be Trajan Pro, and to create that blurred effect you see there, i've just made two copies of the text layer, and on the second copy I've created a Motion blur (in photoshop, Filter >> Blur >> Motion Blur).

what length & angle did you blur?

i'm not sure of the exact length (that's just a matter of experimentation), however the angle was definitely 0°.

this us very useful!! Do you think you could make a tutorial on making splashes when a horse is standing with 3 legs in the water and 1 out, like he's pawing?? I've been looking for a tutorial for that for like ever...XD

as i said in my other message, i'll be making a splash tutorial soon that will show how to make splashes for all different horse positions. one would be the one you mentioned, another for walking, rearing, etc etc.
