Please do NOT send me notes about this tutorial. Paypal has a great FAQ~~~~
Because paypal seems to be very confusing to a lot of people.

Q. I don't have a credit card, can I still make a PAYPAL account?
A. Yes. You will need a bank account though! : )
Q. Do I need to put some money on my account before I start using it?
A. Nope. So you can just start with your account with no money in your account. c:
Q. Can I link this this tutorial in my journal?
A. Yes! Feel free to post it in your journal, the more people see it, the more people will learn how to use Paypal!
Q. If i'm the receiver, do I have to have Paypal as well..?
A. Yes! Both parties need a Paypal account to send/receive money.
Q. Can I send/receive different currencies?
A. Yes you can. You can select what type of currency you want to send! : )

If you don't mind me asking;
What do you tell the person to send the money? Just the email the account is connected with? Or do you link it to your account on Paypal?

Yeah you give them your email address that you are using for your paypal.
Example of what I always send my commissioners:
"email@emailaddress.co ($15)
Please include your username in the paypal note
Thanks!"
Then they know the right amount, and you will get to their username in the note (if they add it)

Would you mind me asking, how do you receive and does it cost money? I heard there might be fees. Do you need to set up a special account to receive money?

You use the same account for sending and receiving money.
Paypal automatically withdraws a fee from every received payment.
So let's say, if I would send you $10, you would receive $9.41.

A question though, what happens after they send you the payment? Specifically, are you able to specify which bank account/credit card the payment will be placed if you have more than one?

When you send money, does paypal charge a transaction fee?

hi, I'm just curious, but how's your experience with Paypal?
I've heard some pretty bad things about them so I'm not sure about getting an account.

I have had only two bad experiences with Paypal in the past 5 years. Both times were about them limiting my account, but I just had to call them and verify that I was me
The second time I had to do that was for my American account, and they were a f**** pain in the ass. It didn't matter how many times I called and they refused to fix the limitation. So when I was back in Holland I called the Dutch Paypal customer service and they fixed my American account, silly people.
Just make sure to use your actual name when you make an account. I used a nickname and they gave me crap for it "because it wasn't the same name as on my bank card".
But overall I've had good experiences in the past five years. It's very easy to use and almost everyone has an account

I personally prefer to be paid before I start working. It all depends on personal preference.
Some people prefer to be paid once they finish the sketch or even the full work
