XDXD I see my comment from my old account from forever ago. I was such a noob. o_o
Looking back though, I see how helpful this was. Do you have a photobucket or something that has all your items uploaded? I want to see some of them. Although, I remember you dont draw for Subeta or Mistic anymore. Do you still draw items now?

I wish I could show you my photobucket account with all my items... But for some reason the Photobucket staff deleted/closed my account O___O
So ALL my old artwork is gone too @________@
I don't draw items anymore I stopped working for sites

???
Photobucket will let art thieves resell art and repost the same picture fifty times, but wont let you host your items? Thats horrible! You cant do anything about it??
And I suppose you dont draw anymore because no petsite is worth your awesomeness.

I don't draw for them anymore cause they won't pay me in euros ; And if I'd charge dollars I would be extremely underpaid for my work... So I stopped doing them

ahh. May I ask, what were you paid? Im interested in becoming a site artist if I get good enough (which I think Im not far from it) but most people wont tell me. If you want, you can note me so this doesn't get any longer.

Wow. Thats pathetic. So that 100 bucks subeta owed you was really only about 60 euros?
Im glad I use American currency.

I'm going to fave this, because I've never been clear on how the shading works and what part I shade. I'll definitely be referencing this when trying to make something. T_T;

I always tell my friends about really helpful tutorials like this, so I will definitely tell them about all of yours! This is EXTREMELY helpful, especially since I am planning a petsite of my own. I have been planning it for a year or two now and I am only 12. ^_^ Actually I have a few websites planned.
Is it OK if I like, print this out?
P.S. Lucky Mac owner!! My mom has a MacBook but I want my own! -.-

I'm not sure what exactly an "item" is, but nonetheless, it's a good Photoshop tutorial. x3

You're welcome
Practise alot with your tablet, it always feels a bit odd when you just start drawing with a tablet. Once you get used to it, you will never ever want your mouse back xD

a question for le etuix... how do you recolour items. (like one red, one blue.) Do you merge all the shading layers into one and just change it through image-adjustments-hue/saturation? Or do you change each layers colour one by one? or reshade the whole thing? XD Im not sure which would be the best way to do it.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
etuix In reply to UnCollected [2007-06-18 09:06:43 +0000 UTC]
I work on different layers for shading if I have to recolour them. So I have a layer for the base colour, first shading layer, second layer and 1 highlight layer.
I lock those and then you can recolour them

I like your tutorial, never thought of doing something like that in that way. I'll have to try it out sometime. Oh and you can use backspace to delete in the selected area on the PC too. *Looks at big backspace button on laptop then glares at ubber small delete button just above it.*

This is amazing Thanks for submitting it!
Though if possible when you have time, would you be so kind as to add other types of items like more mechanical/inorganic ones so we can see the shading? Like glass bottles, boxes etc Would be great. Thank you!
