Description
This is the second "official" picture I've drawn of Heihachi. "Official" meaning "not on lined paper or dry erase boards." lol. Mind, the only other samurai from this series that I've drawn is Shichiroji, but that's been on lined paper, as well, and will have to be included in this semester's Lecture Sketches dump.So yes. MAN, those goggles are a pain to draw. I think they came out alright. A few things bug me, but not enough to make me pull my hair out and attempt to fix.
And yeah, that's supposed to be rice in the background. I've never drawn it before... Not the full plant, anyway. So forgive me if it looks too much like bamboo shoots or something.

Short grain rice like they use in sushi, then? That stuff is awesome... I hate long grain rice. Especially if it's been parboiled first. Ugh.

XD It's long grained rice. It's chinese rice. Sushi rice is short grained and a good deal stickier. Parboiled? Wassat?

I like sushi rice. I can make rice balls with it.
Parboiled means they've done something in the prep process before it hits the stores so that the grains won't stick together at all.

Most of the time, the rice os dry when it's dine that way.

I guess... The restaurants don't have a clue, that's for sure. Our family has always had medium or short grain that hasn't been parboiled, so we're kinda spoiled.

I think what's off with the mouth is the shadow beneath it. It seems too... big. making it seem like it's got a fat lip or something. That may be the case, I don't know. I've never heard of this show. I think the shadow also stops weirdly at the edge of his lip, on the bottom? It doesn't taper upward to indicate the lip, it just... stops.
I'm not explaining this well at all :/

M'kay. Now then, we're saying that there's too much shadow there, right? (The barely shade the faces in the show, so I'm having to ad lib here...) I was definitely having problems with his mouth, though, so I wouldn't doubt it.

Yes, the shadow beneath his lip, on his chin? It's much darker than others on the face like, say, under his nose, so it makes his lip look wonky.
