One of my best? Huh...thanks a lot, man.
I nevertheless insist that it requires some sort of visible weather.

This is an awesome picture and for the longest time it matched so well the one that was showing up right below it for me ;[link]

Things between them didn't end well. Both complained that the other was too distant and that they disliked being able to see one another only if one was to hitchhike amidst a sea of other thumbnails.

I should admit to having used a multiplication and a screening filter (so neither the exposure or lighting is entirely natural). Either way: thanks.

I wanted to ask too why is this a scrap, but I've read the other comments. Anyway, I really can't wait to see what you're up to do till Monday, because this looks really great, and since you can do a lot more, I guess that your future photos of this place will look brilliant.

I agree this picture really interests me with the angles and such i'm not sure why you've scraped it either.

I'm glad that you like it; thanks!
I looked at it and thought, alright, if someone else had submitted the same thing, I'd like it but would lament its having no contrasting weather patterns (which I know isn't something I can control (yet), but I can sure as hell head back there and shoot again when we've more interesting skies).

I disagree this picture is not about the sky the sky doesn't need to be any different that would just take away from the other wonderful shapes here. Nope this is a lovely picture with a clear sky.

Haha. Thanks.
I'm nevertheless not entirely happy with it, though. Reserve further judgment until I offer a replacement shot.

I always do however I still say the clear sky and shadows are amazing here and you should stop beating this poor picture up and let it be amazing like it is.

This is actually a VERY nice photo! why is it in your scraps section?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
eurai In reply to smBarbaRoja [2007-01-03 00:31:32 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! I scrapped it because of its containing no contrast in what little sky is pictured. I'll most likely reshoot this or something like it within the next week (as my National Park pass is usable until then).

That's true but the soft light on the plants with the shadows compensates Which park did you shoot at?

Joshua Tree. I'd only around two hours in which to shoot and apparently missed out on seeing a lot of stuff that I should've (or so I've been told).
Thanks again for your remarks.

this is too interesting and well shot to be in scraps

eurai In reply to xXdr0psXx [2007-01-03 00:29:52 +0000 UTC]
Thanks.
It's in scraps because my pass to where I shot it (Joshua Tree National Park) is valid until next Monday and I may again shoot there if we've more interesting weather between now and then. I think this shot to lack depth because of its lack of cloud cover.
