Issue 12, Page 15!(EDIT: I added to Silver's line on panel 3 a few weeks after the original posting date, apologies for any confusion this might cause returning readers!)
FINALLY, Vennie is back and I can talk about her properly again! Congrats to all the people who guessed it was gonna be her, you give me faith in my narrative skills.
And today, we're gonna start doing something a little different for the artist's comments-- since is my co-writer and he has a lot of influence on this story as well, I figured he should get a spot in the artist's comments!
He has lovingly prepared this passage of snark for you:
Silllvvverrr.....Silver....you will be visited this night by three ghosts...the ghosts of Christmas Sister, Blue guy and Douchebag! And don't you start losing your grip on reality now, there is a lot worse for you to come. Opps, spoilers. But seriously you ought to be thanking me Silver, considering originally she would have been all dead and Sicily would have been turned into a villian. Now we get to watch the awesome family of super ghosts unfold. Arn't you happy with that, Silver? Now get in your panic room with your orange soda themed sibling.

Confusion. It is happening. But the good kind that makes you even more confused as to why you are happy about the confusion. And then you start wondering what's up with Shadow and Sonic in the past, which just makes you more confused, and then you just collapse cuz you used your brain to much.
Yeah. I love the cuteness in this page, and I'm worried for Silver. I sure hope he doesn't flip out and get all mad at Tikal...or Sonic...

I thought that was her before, but now that it's confirmed this has definitely taken a very interesting turn...Β
Though I can't help but get a feeling of A Christmas Carol from Mr. Okida's notes; a little mean to Silver but I will admit to chuckling a bit though at that first sentence.
If I had to pick a favorite panel(s)...I'd say#2 and/or the last one. I love how Silvers face turned out in #2 and the last one Vennie just looks so cute and scared.
I am thinking that chain and orb she's carrying around has some sort of significance though, can't wait to see what happens next!Β

I've been working with Okida since around Issue 10-- the core of the story still comes from me, but we work together to hash out the details of exactly how things will go down. Later arcs deal more with his personal area of expertise in Sonic canon, so he took the lead a bit more with some upcoming issues.
