Issue 12, Page 15!(EDIT: I added to Silver's line on panel 3 a few weeks after the original posting date, apologies for any confusion this might cause returning readers!)
FINALLY, Vennie is back and I can talk about her properly again! Congrats to all the people who guessed it was gonna be her, you give me faith in my narrative skills.
And today, we're gonna start doing something a little different for the artist's comments-- since is my co-writer and he has a lot of influence on this story as well, I figured he should get a spot in the artist's comments!
He has lovingly prepared this passage of snark for you:
Silllvvverrr.....Silver....you will be visited this night by three ghosts...the ghosts of Christmas Sister, Blue guy and Douchebag! And don't you start losing your grip on reality now, there is a lot worse for you to come. Opps, spoilers. But seriously you ought to be thanking me Silver, considering originally she would have been all dead and Sicily would have been turned into a villian. Now we get to watch the awesome family of super ghosts unfold. Arn't you happy with that, Silver? Now get in your panic room with your orange soda themed sibling.

Hmm...The chain seems a bit Bleach-esque - anybody else think so??? Also, how did you (Evan) go from fan doodles to mind-blowing pencils for published issues?! It's been driving me nuts (not super-nuts, just curious-nuts.) Like, is there a school out there that you learned how to draw comics from, or did you just practice and practice until your stuff was like Tracy Yardley? You'd probably say both, but

Yeah, it is a little Bleach-ish isn't it...Β not on purpose, but I do love the first few chapters of Bleach (I lost interest when they went to the Soul Society).
I haven't had a lot of formal training in comics specifically, but I've been practicing steadily for many years now. I'm an art student as well, I've been training in it since I was very little. Currently I'm going to San Jose State University for Animation and Illustration, but there are schools that offer degrees in comics specifically. For example, I'm pretty sure Tracy has a degree in sequential art (comics) form the Savannah College of Art and Design, SCAD.

Wow, that's impressive! I'm an art student myself, so hearing that you've been able to go places with your work - especially with stuff that you like - gives me a smidge of hope Β No animation/illustrationΒ schools where I'm at, though. The closest school where I live that I would love to go to is theΒ AI in Minneapolis, but it's too far and way too expensive. Still, maybe someday!
Yeah, Bleach didn't really grab me either, especially the manga - my sister really likes it though, so I've seen the whole soul-chain thing and I'm afraid that's what poor Vennie's current condition made me think of
