Panel 6 is fairly reminiscent of Dark SuperSonic. In fact...it looks almost identical to his single appearance in the X-dimension.
So this is where she figures out something even creepier than herself is going on. She has an impressive amount of patience to just spy on those two for 200 years. I guess it's a side-effect of being ageless.

EDIT: Someone's comment earlier actually makes me think it's not Shadow back in control after all, rather it's Sonic snapping out of his little trauma because his friends are in trouble. If so, the explainations will be that much cooler having Sonic speaking through Shadow and freaking the heck out of their friends!

HA! That has got to be the best understatement I've encountered this week. Sonic wasn't exactly traumatized by his friends being in trouble. Them's dead. Him too. LOL
Personally I'm not expecting there to be any explanations, otherwise the New Chaotix wouldn't be searching for anything and everything Sonic-related (whoa...makes them sound like the ultimate fans, doesn't it?). My guess is that after a brief encounter with Nicole and possibly some hand-to-hand combat, Sonic/Shadow will look at the Chaotix one last time and hightail it, never to see them again.

Possibly. I hope not. That would be a bummer. Those kind of scenes where the hero throws his past away, leaving his friends to wonder why for years to come, is just sad to me.

Sad, yeah, but it also feels inevitable. The only explanation in store here is why the Chaotix are investigating Sonic. Whatever happens in this encounter is probably key to understanding that.

Cause everyone is talkin about Shadow's fluffy cheeks I wanted to ask: did Shadow already had in the past always such fluff ?

No-- in this story, Shadow's cheek fluff is natural but he shaved regularly (and didn't physically change while in suspended animation). When all the craziness went down in Issue 1, he went on the run and his facial hair grew out, and he ended up keeping it that way.

Oh hey random question, I just noticed this thanks to the close up of Shadows face but I remember awhile back when Shadow and Sonic were talking while Shadow was on the job as a guard. It was that panel thatmade me realise that Shadow looks half like a werehog, his fur is ruffed up and he has fangs out his mouth. But in the past stuff he looks like he normally does. Will we get an explanation for this? Or is this simply an artistic change, like you wanted the black at white to be more smooth while the colour feels more detailed like that? Cause I also noticed Silver looks very detailed and his fur is much more detailed and stuff OR is this simply a sign of Shadows age. Like even though he can't die of natural aging does he still have a bit to grow?

Yeah, Shadow's aged a little bit (in GOTF, Shadow does age, just slowly) and doesn't take great care of himself so he tends to be scruffier in the main storyline. Although also my art style's changed a bit, so I've been drawing everybody closer to their official appearances regardless.
