Well, Silver's parents were first seen in issue 10 here: GOTF issue 10 page 23 , and mentioned in passing before that. Blaze's dad was in issue 1: Ghosts of the Future 14 . Really we don't see much of them, they're supporting characters and don't get a lot of screen time devoted to their development.

He's really hating the whole "messing with my head" and "mind manipulation" schtick.

I have a feeling Shadow's about to crack mentally. Poor guy's head has been messed with too many times, so he probably doesn't know what to think or trust anymore. I think he's having trouble figuring out what is reality and what was his imagination.
The fact that he's so upset now might be a clue, though. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed how he's never really shown signs of mental fragility until now, when they're stuck on Moebius? Could be the stress is finally catching up now that they have a moment of peace, but I think it might be Moebius itself that is affecting him. It is a dark version of Mobius, after all.
Come to think of it, Blaze and Silver had a similar experience a few pages ago. I think the mere act of being on Moebius is affecting everyone differently - some more obvious than others. Pretty cool story dynamic, too. It certainly adds a heightened sense of mystery and drama.
