I used the tutorial,and I'm nearly finished,but I can't figure out how to make the dotted line from the paths tool go away!!! Can anyone help?

There is a de-select tool. possibly in the Image or File tabs look until you find it.

get the wand tool, then click in the selected area and it will disappear.

Thanks! Actually I have another problem. Ok so I select the iris with the select too, click edit, then click on colors-curves and the line goes away, and then when I change the color, the whole eye turns red, not just the iris!

you have to press enter (return for mac) to keep the shape, then you can change the color.
