Description
I find icebergs to be serenely beautiful, particularly when the sea is calm and reflective. On my front page, I list Terragen as one of the tools that I use. But I'd never created a piece using it. So, tonight, after looking at some great Terragen art by *stotty and *duris , I thought I had better rectify that particular situation.
I'm not particularly good with Terragen. It's been a long time since I played with it seriously.
This piece isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination. I could have probably played with it a bit more to give it some extra realism. But it's a start.
I don't think that this will be the last Terragen deviation I submit either

hmmmm i think it's got a little too much purple. kinda drowns out the ice burg a bit with it's saturdation. perhaps tone it down with some blue tones?
other than that i think it looks pretty good. i've never messed with terragen but i seen so many beautiful creations with it!

That's a fair comment. I spent ages trying to get it too look right, and in the end just gave up in frustration.
I originally set out trying to get a sky like this one .
I promise to spend more time on it next time

No, I know what you're talking about. I knew where you were coming from, so it's cool
Have a read of The Diplomatic Critiquer . I think it might give you some tips on how to comment constructively on people's work. It's written from the point of view of critiquing writing, but it's just as applicable for critiquing art.
Hope that helps
