Description
B-1B-NR, 86-0099 assigned to the 28th BW based at Ellsworth AFB seen at Luke AFB for an airshow in March 1986.
This jet was still new when I shot this photo!
You can clearly see the color demarcation for the FS 36081 dark grey upper color and the FS 36118 Gunship grey undersides.

That was their 'delivery' scheme and the colors the jet wore while it was in SAC!

Cool. Even though an all gunship grey scheme is a bit dull, at least many B-1s have some great nose art!

This one was in the original "Strat" scheme. I wish TAC would have let us apply nose art to our fighters...

Saw one at the Air & Water show as a kid. It came in from the north FAST, then just suddenly shot almost straight up and climbed like a missile. The sight of something that damn big, flying as nimbly as a fighter, was unbelievable
