Micron pens on acrylic paint and 50+ hoursComments always appreciated
Sorry for the long wait on this one, I've been working so much this summer and with so many different stippling pieces going on at once, this one took a little bit longer.
But here it is! I'm free at last!
Unlike most of my pieces, which are done on mylar, this one was done on an canvas with acrylic paint, acrylic gloss, paint retardant, and glitter. (Similar to my Jonny James one: fav.me/d4ys4l3 and fav.me/d4yv0m9 ) There was also a far amount of yarn on this board at one point to give it texture so this board was crazy bumpy. Made my life a living hell, but I really love how it worked with this image. Although, the one thing I've learned in doing this piece is never substitute paint retardant for acrylic gloss.... my micron pens were not very happy with that.

Thank you ! I did it my first time on a whim because I had a fruity acrylic canvas and now I love it! It can be pretty difficult, especially when the canvas isn't flat like this one, but it's so rewarding!

Thank you! I'm so happy that I was able to start it before the summer ended! Keep your eyes peeled for the close up version, which I'll probably post tomorrow, I think the focus is better in that one : )
