Description
Micron pens and 45+ hours, and it was worth every second of itComments always appreciated
I really, really, truly love this guy. Ronnie Radke has been such an inspiration for me this past year and every time I'm feeling down or think life's too hard, I look at him and everything that he's accomplished despite everything he's been through, and realize that I can keep pushing on.
For those of you who haven't read any of my journal updates, I've been pretty sick this past year, and at first my doctors just dismissed my symptoms and told me that I was probably just too stressed out: it was my senior year, I was freaking out about getting accepted into college, and this could be how my body was handling it.
At around this time, I also starting listening to Falling in Reverse and was just blown away by Mr. Radke's success story. He's been through hell, but he's back, doing what he loves, and just an overall amazing person. I was absolutely captivated by him.
As of yesterday, I was finally diagnosed with Celiacs Disease. It sucks, it really does, but I know I can get through it. I'm a stronger person and I know that even though life has its ups and downs, that I'll make it out okay in the end.
Update: Someone asked me about the lettering I did on his left ribcage. The reference photograph came from the cover of a magazine, and there was a lot of type over the whole image, the worst of it being on either ribcage and on his right arm. I was able to get around it for the most part, but I didn't feel like I have enough to work with on his left ribcage. Instead, I doodled "Ronnie Radke" a couple hundred times until I had written it in a way I liked, and then stippled it on there.
The original photograph belongs to AltPress Magazine: [link]
Lots of love

Thank you! Eh yeah, but I may have accidently exaggerated it. There was a lot of type and headers over both sides of his rib cages, so I mostly just estimated where they would be.

Cool..this is so far one of the better 'dot art' I've seen during my short time here..I don't really know who the subject is; but if he can inspire u to draw this; he must be a cool guy...keep this up! Oh , by the way, as I understand it; those with celiacs disease need to stay away from gluten; it's not so bad knowing your poison early in life..cheers!

Wow thanks so much for the lovely compliments! He's definitely a cool dude : ) Yeah celiacs is kind of a bummer, but you're totally right. I'd rather know what's wrong with me so that I can stay healthy and live happily than be sick all the time

But there's not much to critique here. I'm absolutely speechless by this picture! You have an amazing skill and a boatload of patience to go through with drawing this picture! I also love how much this man means to you! The detail on this is just stunning, and how it was done with stippling just makes my jaw drop.
Amazing job honey, and I really hope everything goes well for you. I know you'll be okay! Never, ever stop what you're doing, because you're talent and skill in art is something that can't go to waste!

Sayin' this out loud: AMAZING job you did with pure ink pens! Every detail and bit of dedicated patience you put into this drawing is so incredible, it blows me away. His right shoulder looks a bit wonky and flat at the armpit and the innermost part of his chest tattoo could be stippled in a little darker, but overall I absolutely love the shading and hair. Keep it up!

Thank you so much! Yeah, both of the arms really bothered me, mainly because there was a lot of type over them in the original photograph so everything I did there I had to wing it. But I'll definitely keep working to improve! Thank you for the feedback!

I really was pretty much dead at that point. Especially because I'm almost sure that I did more than half of those hours in a stretch of three days. By the end of it, I was ready to pass out! Thanks so much
