Description
Micron pens and 45+ hours, and it was worth every second of itComments always appreciated
I really, really, truly love this guy. Ronnie Radke has been such an inspiration for me this past year and every time I'm feeling down or think life's too hard, I look at him and everything that he's accomplished despite everything he's been through, and realize that I can keep pushing on.
For those of you who haven't read any of my journal updates, I've been pretty sick this past year, and at first my doctors just dismissed my symptoms and told me that I was probably just too stressed out: it was my senior year, I was freaking out about getting accepted into college, and this could be how my body was handling it.
At around this time, I also starting listening to Falling in Reverse and was just blown away by Mr. Radke's success story. He's been through hell, but he's back, doing what he loves, and just an overall amazing person. I was absolutely captivated by him.
As of yesterday, I was finally diagnosed with Celiacs Disease. It sucks, it really does, but I know I can get through it. I'm a stronger person and I know that even though life has its ups and downs, that I'll make it out okay in the end.
Update: Someone asked me about the lettering I did on his left ribcage. The reference photograph came from the cover of a magazine, and there was a lot of type over the whole image, the worst of it being on either ribcage and on his right arm. I was able to get around it for the most part, but I didn't feel like I have enough to work with on his left ribcage. Instead, I doodled "Ronnie Radke" a couple hundred times until I had written it in a way I liked, and then stippled it on there.
The original photograph belongs to AltPress Magazine: [link]
Lots of love

Sorry to hear of your illness
This is a lovely piece, I've always wondered what a piece solely done with stippling would look like

Ah yeah, it was pretty frustrating at first, but I'm trying to take it one day at a time. Thanks so much! I'm kind of obsessed with stippling.... it's sort of a problem

Ahaha only in that a side effect of stippling is that you pretty much lock yourself away from hours and get lost in the dots. For me, it's meditation, for others, it's insanity : )
