Here's the fourteenth of the drawings from 2020 to be posted. It's not on the "What I Did During the Pandemic of 2020" image thumbnailed below.

I played with cosmology and astronomical models in the storyline, merging the whole "Dome of Heaven" idea with the Ptolemaic model of the solar system, and then bringing in a few outside elements that were causing problems with it all. One of those problems was a great sea serpent reaching into the Hellenic sphere from the Norse one, entering through the constellation Hydra. In short, he was an extension of the World Serpent Jormungandr manifesting as Lotan/Leviathan in the Mediterranean world. The serpent's connection allowed the souls of the Hellenic warriors it consumed to join Valhalla in the Norse world, and it allowed a critical character from the Norse world to come and cause some mayhem on this end. The characters faced the Serpent Between Worlds a couple of times, but knowing they couldn't kill the creature meant they had to survive its attacks, divert its attention, and escape. Disrupting the connection required that they first combat the Norse intruder who had come to the Hellenic world and then change the constellation Hydra on the Dome of Heaven.

For those interested, I'm in the publishing phase on all of this stuff right now, putting the file together for publication. It will probably take me the rest of April to send off for the first proof, but once I do that, I'm going to be addressing myself back to Demon's Due. We're scheduled for vaccination soon as well, and it'll be nice to have that out of the way.
