The game of cat and mouse ended with Attar slain and his estate and household disbanded by Avora’s own hand, all done according to Selva’s extensive legal precepts that the servant woman had studied and mastered in the final year of her "stewardship" to the merchant prince. Avora vanished from Selva soon thereafter, emerging months later in Port Sessen as a wizardess of mysterious origin, bearing what items remained of Attar’s potent magical collection, including a smoking wand and a black cape.
Returning to Dernhem and to her uncle’s side did not feel right at the time, though Avora discreetly inquired after the state of her home. Learning of the Magistrate’s disappearance and Anjerome’s untimely demise, Avora discerned the outward signs of Maladyne’s grand scheme being put in motion, and considered how best to foil it. After study and cautious correspondence with her younger sister and Lord Luther Vandermoor, the wizardess discovered a possible means to that end, and thereby a way to return to a position of importance in Dernhem.

“In truth,” the wizardess speaks aloud, though nothing in the ruined Chorus Garden hears, “I owe that villain, Attar, a great deal, just as I do dear Uncle Anjer.” After a short pause, she sighs. “And you as well, Maladyne. Both good and ill. So, perhaps I can do some small service here, and ferret out the root of this terrible mischief.”

This is the last of the flashback images, returning us to the present and to the final scene of Twisted Plot Part 2. Avora was drawn using the references provided to me by Viator-Defessus and the model "Ava." My thanks to these two for the help and inspiration--this was a lot of fun to draw.
