Murder feline.
Had some trouble translating some of the Child's play storyline into this AU, but, I think this backstory is pretty good.

Chucky was born to a stray cat in a litter of three. Chucky and his two identical brothers. Chucky's mother gave birth to the litter in the warehouse of a toy factory, where, after two months, she met her unfortunate demise in a typical factory accident. The accident led to the workers discovering the three kittens, and after some time, they were given to a woman named 'Karen Barclay', who was looking for something to give to her son Andy in place of a doll, which she sadly couldn't afford. A cat with a good guy's bandanna and collar, though? Maybe?

Andy wasn't too enthralled about it at first, but Chucky, ever the strategist, assimilates the behaviors of the good guy dolls he saw on screen to win over the boy. Which worked, as he sang along with the jingles, and did all he could to play into the role. From there, things got strange, mainly in that Andy's babysitter died not long after she was left alone with Andy and his new cat. Accident after accident happened, with Andy taking the blame until he was sent to military school. Chucky followed him, sneaking past everyone and being found on Andy's bed. Andy knew Chucky was the one who did it, but didn't know why, nor did he know how Chucky followed him. No matter how much Andy tried to get away from Chucky, the cat somehow followed him, like a ghost.

Chucky got into a lot of fights, leading to his face being scarred up, and even tried to suffocate some people in their sleep. It was a nightmare, especially for Andy, who had no idea what to do about it. That is until he found out about the cat cafe when he moved to the next city over. Desperate and knowing the place had problem cats already, Andy went there and, needing money, applied for a job. Chucky started his normal routine at first, rolling over in front of people and being super affectionate, then scanned for accidents he could cause. That was when he saw Greta grooming Brahms. My, my! That hairdryer is plugged in and dangerously close to the washing station, it'd be a shame if someone pushed it into the water, wouldn't it? Well, perhaps, but Chucky never got that chance. As soon as he tried, Brahms instantly realized what Chucky was doing and rushed him. Chucky was then given the cone of shame, and all the cats in the cafe learned to keep an eye on him.

Chucky is a schemer. He's the cat sitting in the corner that scowls at everyone 24/7. He tries to put on an affectionate disposition to lure people into a false sense of security, but make no mistake, the moment he sees an opportunity, accidents are bound to occur, mainly ones that can be pinned on Andy. Though that's not really a problem while he's in the cafe, as the other cats are quick to shut down his attempts at murdering the humans in the cafe. If you see someone suddenly rush Chucky, that's usually what's happening. Chucky likes to stir shit, just like Freddy, and despite being the smallest cat in the cafe, he's more than confident enough to fight back against even the humans. From that alone, you can tell why he's friends with Freddy. Chucky's relationship with Andy is also a bit hard to pin down. Chucky likes Andy, but in a blood-soaked: 'I did this for you' manner. Which is basically how he is for everyone he likes, really. (Not that Freddy's complaining.) This includes his relationship with his mate, Tina, and their kitten, Glen.
