Mini review:Like many others I got the possibility to test Office 14 today. The installation took quite a while but it was worth it. Even though Office 14 preview might seem a lot like 12 I can confirm there are a lot of differences. The first thing that surprised me was the awesome animated splash screen, it's really a nice touch. The office button serves a different purpose now, it openes a sleek looking screen which you can see behind the word window, it's still a little glitchy. The interface is quite boring, but I noticed that there could be 2 new color schemes for office apps in the further betas, so it's not a big problem. Overall there are numerous feature changes and fixes, it feels like the good'ol 2007 but it's better now!

I can't really see a difference with this version of the Office software and the Office 2007. Hope Microsoft will make more noticeable changes and add some more useful features to their Office Suite.

what are the differance between the two. Not much change in the GUI. Still I think office 2003 was the best.

Lots of changes, new features etc.
Also 2003 sucked. It's same as Office XP only with a blue gradient. 2007 is at least 100 times better than that.

looks nice and clean, though way to bright for my large screen

There will be color options, although I can't possibly see how brightness and screen size can conflict.

if you maximise the window on a large screen, the whole screen is almost filled with white, which i do not find very comfortable to look at
even if i turn down my screen lights to 20% its rather bright [so now i only show one page
