He is one of the fellows who has been with me since a long time. The first time I saw him was in 2001 and he has hardly changed.

Full name: Niver Silverfield
Species: siderian (a northern, horse-sized tiger-oriental cat-lynx like feline)
Gender: male

Birthplace: near Mystery Mountain (the biggest siderian metacluster in the world), in the Rocky Mountains, Alaska.
Birth year/date (relative to Stian’s birth year): -5
Death year: don’t know yet. I think he reaches a normal age for a siderian, which is between 110-120.

APPEARANCE

Appearance: Nerdy, neat, friendly guy with a certain delicacy and yet little rough edge.

Shoulder height: 1,62 m

Physical description

Light, lynx like body with a rather deep, but narrow chest. Fine and narrow bone structure with a typical forward pointing sternum bone (not common for siderians and other cats – though my cat Neo has this too). Slender, rather straight front legs. Pretty long hind legs and large, strong ankles and relatively long metatarsals which make him a fast and efficient runner. He has flat paws and pretty long fingers. His tail is average in length and he has the habit to move the white tailtip like a focused cat.
He has a fine and elegant, supple, light footed gait with narrow but rather large steps.

Narrow head with pronounced cheeks and typical round muzzle. Large, slightly rounded ears (sail-ears), placed highly on his head, almost like a serval. Straight profile and forward pointing muzzle. Large angular eyes, placed rather close together. The placement of his eyebrows in combination with the typical line above his eyes give him a bit of a concentrated, serious look. Eyecolour is deep, bright green.

Soft, semi longhaired fur; bit like a Border collie . His coat colour is blue merle with white. Little blueish sheen over his grey coat. Long hair on his head, usually falling to the both sides, but if he wanted, he could turn into a Mohawk (with the help of resin or something else).

Jewellery & accessories
2 earrings (left ear). Metal necklace with a snake skull and crossed bones. Carbohydrate molecule model shaped metal bracelet. I think he has quite a collection of ecal readers and other ecals with which he can practice his hobby.

Personality and mannerisms
MBTI personality type: quite likely INTP
Friendly, neat, modest, amenable and with very formal linguistic usage. He is clean and well-organized.

He can be a little bit on the background with unfamiliar siderians and respects social norms. However, things change when he’s together with his best friend Falkner. Niver rarely hangs the rules himself but he likes to join his naughty friend in having borderline (un)acceptable fun.

He’s very curious, observant and quite intelligent. He’s good at seeing both large patterns and small details in the whatever topics that had caught his interest – and that is many things. He’s also quite critical and likes discussing definitions and theories.
Type of humour: He can really enjoy sharp jokes and uses his formal, scientific language in a sarcastic way.

And if he’s not hunting or hanging out with Falkner and other friends, doing naughty stuff or making noise, he searches for information about his current interests. His interests are rather wide and variable, but chemistry and snakes keep fascinating him.

Special skills
His huge amount of general knowledge and polite, friendly even rather subordinate attitude, he has actually quite some convincing power- which can come in handy if he wants something from somebody else.

STORY
Niver has been raised in a normal , harmonious family by his parents, together with his sister Faine near the capital metacluster called Mystery Mountain. At the learning ground (where mothers bring their cubs together to play and learn things from specialists – a bit like some open access school), he became best friends with Falkner. Falkner was a lot bolder and naughtier than Niver and he made him discover how funny it is to cross the limits once in a while. Niver also discovered his main interest in chemistry at the learning ground.

During Niver’s childhood, there had been some turbulence between siderians and arctians (another siderian-like feline) but he stayed mostly out of it. When they were in their early thirties, Falkner fell in love with Yava, a sideress from the Fjordlands and after a few years, he left his homeland to live with her. Niver stayed behind without his best friend. With his slightly shy nature it took him a while to find a mate as well, but eventually he fell in love with a sideress named Zorayda. After a few years, she got pregnant and they got a son, whom they named Julian. However it was not a happy family time for Niver. Julian was a difficult cub to handle and Zorayda’s sometimes flammable nature caused conflicts between them. She was blaming Niver for everything and eventually, she left him and their son behind.
Niver tried to raise his difficult cub alone but he couldn’t control his naughty – and often socially unacceptable, provocative behavior. Julian liked to provoke conflicts and that is what got him in serious trouble with the local arctians once. One particular arctian named Torgrim – the strong pridemale of the biggest local arctian pride, had broken Julian’s back in a fight and crippled him for life. Niver tried to be there for his half paralyzed son despite his difficult behavior… Once Niver got injured after some incident. He could barely feed himself enough, let alone his son. Julian didn’t get very old…
I don’t know what becomes of them later in life yet, but I think that once, Niver meets someone nice again...
