Cheederians and northern hyena's in their fight for survival and the (metaphysical)resources these mighty predators have to share....
Two of the three old generation cheederian characters you don't know...the other one..well...you might probably know him...
Cheederians are large, horse-sized FELINES with some metaphysical powers. They look like a Oriental cat - lynx- tiger hybrid, living on the Northern hemisphere.

Nope, his granddaddy - Stian has no lynx-tips. But yes from behind he looks pretty much like his grandpa.

Nope - but nearly - just go the charactersheets - then you can see the difference (if the resolution on DA is not too low...). Stian has a vertebra and a chain, Matthias has spikes and spikewire on one paw and thorns on the other.

in Volume 2 he appears for the first time as cub. Volume 3 it totally his volume! But maybe I will start slowly with volume 2 while I do vol.1. - they can go parallel and are independent stories

Stunning detail in the poses and fur texture as always, and the northern hyenas look fanstastic too - I can't wait to see more of them! 
The cheederian in the middle is definitely Matthias, and I think the top left character might possibly be Atilla, but I could be wrong. Not sure of the character to the right because it's from behind, but I think it might be Morten.

Thanks! yeheah be prepared for more hyenas (I really start to love them too...). The one in the middle is Matthias indeed - the other ones are Nigras at the top and Dunca at the bottom. I only have a profile sketch of them (short-haired) on the new head-anatomy-sheet- these 3 cheeds represent the Russian (Nigras), Scandinavian/North European (Matthias), and North American/Canadian (Dunca) lines.

Haha, I was sure that was Matthias, and I guess I thought it was Atilla since I vaguely remembered he had a large mane. As for Dunca, I remember him now - wasn't he the white odd-eyes old cheederian?

Yes - Dunca is again a white guy and a typical example of a Canadian cheederian. Anyway yes I have some NH charies as well- and I actually love them too

Thanks - it's actually just a pencil drawing which I overlayed with some random papers structures I once have scanned. The white parts are added digitally.

wow! are you going to ever do something...that more clearly shows the older generations of Cheederians? these look amazing! wow! I'd love to draw them...I love history so the history of the Cheederian breed welll...I am estatic! and the farmiliar one...looks like Matthis to me. this is absolutly epic!

In that volume you will meet Matthias' dark-side...he's the darkest cheederian char I know about...followed by his father HΓ₯kan. Btw - I need to find still time to comment on yer arties

Thanks - the atmosphere must be dark here and indeed some kind of mysterious and yet historical (despite the few anatomy bugs...) - But yes that's Matthias - he represents the old-generation Scandinavian cheederians

I already loove hyenas, and those you drew are really nice! I'm sure we will see them quite a lot in the book. Amazing drawings, btw. The poses are really dynamic and the textures/colors makes it looks very special.
