My Gimp stopped recognizing the .pat version of this so I exported it as a .png now it works. I hope that helps people out.

and I don't think i downloaded it right

To download it you can't press download, You have to right click and choose "Save as..." Then leave it and save it.
To install it after downloaded (Mac):
Go to finder >> Downloads >> you will see diagscanline3.zip.
Leave that window and open a second finder window, go to "Library" >> "Application Support" >> Gimp.
On the 1st finder window, drag diagscanline3.zip to the "Patterns" folder in the 2nd window.
Open gimp (If already open quit X11/Gimp and then re-open).
It worked for me!

I tried to save it under patterns, and then again under brushes, but it didn't really work...

Well, my apologies....I hate it when something doesn't work. It's impossible to live without jeans! ;(

It's quite alright. I'll think of something else. I'd probably won't do such a good job since I'm still learning GIMP.

hmm..I might not heh. What's the folder I put it in?

fence-post In reply to LaFaerieLove [2007-12-13 13:24:57 +0000 UTC]
Something like this: C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\patterns That folder will contain a bunch of other pat files in it (all the default patterns.)

Are you sure? The pattern isn't very large. Other than what I've described, I don't know what to tell you.

I couldn't be able to put it on GIMP..So I followed what you said and try to save it as a pat extension but it still wouldn't work..Any ideas of what's going on?

hmmm, not really. The zip file that you download contains the pat file. Are you opening up the zip file and and putting it in the right folder?

fence-post In reply to kitten-Dude [2007-08-13 15:24:56 +0000 UTC]
You should be able to. Just open it up and save it with a pat extension. *Wonder why it won't show up in GIMP?*
