Usually around 5000xwhatever hight I want it. It depends a lot on how much detail I want the piece in and if it's going to be printed on larged canvases!

Foals tend to have extremely long legs compared to their body size, that's what makes them so cute in my opinion

Depends usually around 5000x5000 sometimes even bigger and ofc the dimensions differ. When I know my work is going to be printed I use larger sizes to get the best quality

I work pretty much the same way as you, but the hairs don't work for me 
They always are a mess and it doesn't look good.

They didn't for me in the beginning either, but then I sort of got how to do it so that they looked better

I think I'm not gonna try more drawings with hairs, it just doesn't look good, doesn't matter how many times I try

Thank you! Depends on the lighting, I think most people have a problem with white horses cause they draw their shadows grey or black which really is completely wrong. The darker colours of white horses differ depending on the lighting, background etc
