Description
since i'm going to otakon i figured i might as well repaint that kingdom key to sora's color scheme. all i had to do was sand off the old paint (which filled in most of the wood grain i couldn't get before, and also smoothed out some areas), and add the new paint. the keychain is still tacky and will be until i paint the gloss on because of that particular paint.ALSO! i'm working on the moldable version which will be absolutely perfect because i will keep remaking the pieces until they are perfect. i currently have the hand guard cut and glued and it only needs the hole drilled for the pole, i have the pole turned on the lathe (poplar is only for the coolest of cool peeps), and the crown and raised bands gluing to be sanded and turned sometime when i get back from otakon. so i'm about halfway done.

EDIT
This keyblade was given away at otakon's friday kingdom hearts photoshoot to the voted best sora cosplayer which can be seen here with roxas: finaformsora.deviantart.com/arβ¦

Here's a tutorial i made:Β finaformsora.deviantart.com/arβ¦
I used a lathe to turn the wood and make it round, but you could also use a dremel or sanding tool like a drum sander.Β

I can see that! I actually preferred it being the Dark version of it, to be honest.

That's true...You could use one of your other Keyblades for a cosplay as Sora in his Valor form, might I suggest the Star Seeker?

Well i have a master form sora costume, so i can still dual wield, but i think i will only use this keyblade for thursday pre-reg so i dont make other people hold the door open for me or anything like that.Β

Oh, okay! You should try making a Sora Valor form costume, though.

yeah, i'll eventually be making my own costume so i can enter into contests and hopefully it will look really close to the real thing. i've only started using a sewing machine yesterday though; before then i always hand-sewed.
