Description
It didn't seem real, but at the same time, I had never experienced, never sensed so much. It was as if I was standing in a gigantic hallway. Old, abandoned, yet in perfect condition. Green, leafy plants were growing in them. Most of them were growing above me, but they were very far up. The ceiling was high, if not endless. It may have been slightly damp, but that didn't affect me in any way. I was standing there, my hand against the absent glass wall, mesmerised by the scenery behind the non-existing barrier. An ocean stretched out before my eyes, and the light of something I assumed must have been the moon danced through the darkness, creating ever-changing patterns on the seafloor. But somehow, most of all, I couldn't keep my eyes off the darkness in the middle. It eased my mind and calmed my body. The mysteries it held, that I would never unfold. I knew the darkness didn't move, yet it seemed to come closer the longer I stared at it. It was calling out to me, inviting me. The unknown depths held the answers.. to all my questions. The enigma.. behind my line of sight would.. make.. me.. realise.. that which had always been.. close to me, but which had.. always eluded me.. before I could... grasp it. This.. strange... sensation... the questions... it... could have... answe--

Based on a dream I once had. I had forgotten about it until a few weeks ago, when it suddenly reappeared into my mind, clear and vivid. I knew I had to put it on paper. What lingers in the mind can only rest once it has been put outside the mind. And outside the mind, it shall never be forgotten.
