Adler's Prelude - Forgiveness

I know I said Over Protective part 2 was the conclusion, but I got this idea and I think it really redeems Ashien. It takes place a couple of days after the events in the park. I really feel this is a nice touching end to that whole arc. Nice touch for Mother's Day as well.
Here we have Ash reading and Adler happy playing with his blocks.
Ash is looking at what happened, and she blames herself. She is completely heartbroken, but when she's at her lowest she feels this light tap on her cheek. Adler is too young to know what is really going on, but there he is trying to soothe her. She feels like he's forgiven her and that is just what she needed. She goes from completely depressed, and questioning her ability as a mother to overjoyed.

I do regret not doing the comic about Adler's first word before I did this. It would of given me a nice touch to the end. Still I think it works.
I know Ashien's shirt is open. If you read her character sheet I do mention she is a nudist. She doesn't like clothes very much, and she hates tight binding clothes. I just can't draw her nude sitting around the house without giving these pages a mature rating. FYI- That's iced herbal tea in her glass. His sippy-cup is close by with apple juice.
I love Adler in the second panel. He's just built something with his blocks, and he's so proud. The skull on Adler's shirt was inspired by the Becky skull in Pani Poni Dash.
Hardest panel to draw was the seventh panel. It was tricky, because she kept looking more angry then sad. I do love her reaction in the eighth panel. She was in such despair that she didn't notice him walking over.

There is one question that is never answered. "Has that cat landed yet?"
