have you ever had one of those dreamswhere your teeth are falling out?
inspired by a nightmare
i am really proud of this piece, probably one of my best so far.
the original is HUGE (3400 x 5000) so the details aren't very clear in this. sorry!photographer & model : me (i felt like a mummy trying to take this photo!)
teeth : my very own wisdom teeth
blood brushes : mine (soya sauce on paper!)

That's brilliant. My nightmares frequently involve blood and gore, and this conveys the style of them perfectly. I would fave, but this really scares me - which means this must be a fantastic art piece.

Before I read the description, it immediately reminded me of those weird dreams I've had where I kept pulling out my teeths one after the other and I could see how much blood I spilled. Quite horrifying!
The first time I had that dream, I woke up shouting "My teeths, my teeths!" and I was sweating. But now that I still keep having that dream, I wake up and I just wonder what it means. Interesting how everyone has dreamed about this eh?
Em, you've done a fantastic job! The pose is amazing! All that blood gives a great touch to the entire piece. This is one of your best pieces you're right! If some day I can find a way to buy prints on DA and have them delivered to Panama, I shall buy many of your works! Wish I could have this one hanging on the wall of my room so I can stare at it at night o.O

I've had one of those dreams. I've heard that it suggests the person may be ill but unaware of it...that the illness, whatever it may be, is germinating within the body (without noticeable symptoms), so this type of dream is a sort of warning message that the illness is present and will soon come to the surface.
Anyways, great work...creepy but cool.

I haven't had one of those dreams, but it's supposed to mean that you fear losing power - because without teeth, you'd have to rely on someone else to chew your food (I think this is from the discovery channel or the like).
