have you ever had one of those dreamswhere your teeth are falling out?
inspired by a nightmare
i am really proud of this piece, probably one of my best so far.
the original is HUGE (3400 x 5000) so the details aren't very clear in this. sorry!photographer & model : me (i felt like a mummy trying to take this photo!)
teeth : my very own wisdom teeth
blood brushes : mine (soya sauce on paper!)

Yes, I've had quite a few of those nightmares.
This is a fucking great picture. Vivid and even terrifying. I love it. The blood all over the bottom is a nice touch.

Losing your teeth -can- mean you fear a loss of power, but more likely (especially if you're female and young) you are anxious about your appearance. Pulling out your own teeth is an attempt to ruin yourself visually because of some deeper issue. Anyways. That's what psychologists' say. It really depends on you.

wow, I never knew that! I had dreams (and still do sometimes) where my teeth fall out, and yeh...I'm paranoid about my appearance...I guess it makes sense

ive had losing teeth dreams many times. they are suppposed to foretell bad luck.

oh i know. the last tooth dream i had i dreamt that my front teeth had fallen out and they were all yellow and black and rotten and my gums were bleeding and i had to pack them with this red paste stuff to keep me from bleeding to death.

woah... serious. i have that dream over and over all the time. but it's a different feeling for me i think than the one depicted. it's more like having a mouthful of loose teeth and they're all cutting up everything from the inside.

If you poked a tooth, it just fell out. Eventually, they just started to fall out.
