So my friends and I made a spoof of the Lord of the Rings Movies, and this was one of the stupid jokes we had. But come on... Sauron and Saruman had to use the palantirs for something interesting sometimes...Yeah, and I know that doesn't really look like Saruman. *sigh* I tried.
Don't play cards with Sauron. He'd totally cheat. Fo sho.

Well, I unfortunately have a pretty questionable sense of humor, so there is a lot in Tolkien's stuff that I find humorous (even when that was definitely not the intent... sometimes especially when it wasn't). I'm hoping I'll get to draw out some of the ideas I had back in the day soon. I've had quite the resurgence of my inner Tolkien nerd lately

Oh, he would. Although half the fun we had in the spoof was the fact that all his cards were turned UP, so Saruman could have cheated as well. He simply didn't. XD
I really should make some more comics from those spoofs. They weren't the funniest things around, but the stupid amusement has endeared them to me forever.

well they're pretty much the same name. i bet tolkein actually got the spelling of sauron so messed up that he just gave up and made another character so he'd get away with the typos.
