That's right—after only a week, another page of the tutorial is up! (I'm as shocked as you are.)

I began this one just trying to figure out what Bubbles might wear. I mean, Blossom wore her classic two-piece, so Bubbles could have as well, but since we've got a new model, it felt appropriate to have her in new apparel. A couple ideas came to mind (including one with frills that I tried to draw), but I eventually settled on a nice, basic one-piece with a racing stripe down the side. Bubbles just seems like the type to prefer her midriff covered. Once that was settled, I figured I'd try drawing her light trail. After that, the text was pretty much copied and pasted from a text file I typed up last week, and by this time, the whole thing was 90% done. So I might as well finish it, I thought. A few dimensions later, and here we are.

That said, on with the tutorial!

You'll notice that her legs are rounder on one side and flatter on the other. This makes it easier to see which way her legs are facing. The rounder side is the side with the knee. Also, in poses where she's flying or attacking with her feet, the legs can be stretched to almost any length, as long as it's not overly comical. Without having drawn such a pose, I'd estimate stretching the leg up to twice its normal length would keep it looking dramatic yet plausible. Any more than that and it may border on implausible.

I honestly didn't expect to get another page up so soon. Hopefully the next page is just as timely! (No promises... )

EDIT: If this is Bubbles' favourite swimsuit, it should have some pizzazz. So I gave it some in the form of white trim.

Well, in Corel PaintShop Pro (which is what I use), I simply draw the outline of the light trail on its own layer, fill it with a light blue colour, then set the layer to have an inner glow (with a slightly darker light-blue colour) and an outer glow (with a medium blue colour).  I'm not sure what the parallel method in Adobe would be... But hopefully this helps!

I think it's really cool how technical you get with the PpG style.

Haha, and I think Bubbles' swimsuit fits her perfectly. I really like you did her energy streak too.

Thanks Sometimes I think I'm being too technical, but I just don't want to leave anything out...

It does, doesn't it? The white stripe helps define her orientation, and the trim... well, it just makes her more cute.

That was fast It's funny, having drawn so many PPGs the legs thing seemed so instinctual I would never even think to point it out You do a great job of breaking down the style and explaining it!

I know, right?  All because I sat down and started fiddling with ideas.  Guess I should do that more often.

This is really nice. Even though Bubbles having her midriff exposed makes her cute to me, seeing her in this one piece makes her just as cute to me since she's my fav ppg on cuteness.
