Description
As I promised to some of the people here, I'm releasing the first tutorial here. This is the tutorial for how to do soft cell shading on Photoshop, based on my experience.
The version of Photoshop used in the tutorial is 6. If you use later versions, names of tools/modes and/or allocation of shortcut keys might be different.
I'm working on Windows, so if you use Mac please change these notations as: Ctrl to Command, Alt to Option.
I just hope it helps you.

This is nice, but how do I color a scanned picture? because when I put in the picture on the top layer I can't put color underneath it, and when I put it on top it covers up the line art...I'm fairly new to photoshop so I have no idea how to get around this.

This happened to me as well, but I just changed the layer opacity slightly so I could see through the colour to the lineart.
Just see if that works, if not, I'm sorry I can't help you more.

Use Ctrl-Alt-G instead of Ctrl-G. The shortcut has been changed between PS7 and CS as "Create clipping mask".

Well...that was most helpful! I'm not so sure how some steps would work with my program, though that's half the fun when it comes to tutorials. Using what you've been taught and melding it to what you already have and know.
Off to loiter amoung your other tutorials now!

This is great. It's a relatively simple tutorial with a healthy amount of information detailing how to further improve one's composition without going overboard. There's no doubt that this will certainly come in handy in the future.
You draw beautifully, by the way. I love your rendering techniques.
Thank you very much for taking the time to construct this!
