may i say that this work looks splendid. The work done on this piece shows but I have one little problem with your shading. Particularly the shading on the ground of the character. This just looks like a splotch to me if i must sincerely say so. Also the character looks to be quite gradient with saturation usage. What i mean by this is that every single part of him has a colour which fades from one to another consistantly. e.g. dark brown to light brown (or was this an effect you where after?).

Other than that, i can see that you put a lot of effort into this work and it deserves to be appreciated. well done!

The 27 hours was worth it. It looks awesome. I always put quality over quantity and you did a good job. I enjoy this more than all the rest of your dwarves. I love the hair on the arms, that’s a nice touch. Maybe a shadow on the ground underneath him might give him more weight; he looks pretty heavy set.
Also if you make the inside of the helmet darker it would really pop out and look 3-d and add extra interest to the painting.

Nice job overall I like the choice of color as well. I look forward to seeing more dwarfs.

I like the colouring technique, very smooth especilly on the hair. Yet this smoothness tends to disappear on the edges which are a bit too sharp. I think that if you treat the edges the same way you do the rest ofthe pic it'll be an improvement. I like the design of his armour and clothes, it's very consistent. Many artists trade appereance for usefulness and end up with cool designs that wouldn't make it to the end of a real battle, but yours here looks like something that I can imagine a warrior actually wearing.

Ahahaha, he is so freakin' cool. I am loving the expression he has there. His beard is very nicely done (I love his braids and eyebrows - technically not his beard) and the hair on his arms is an awesome and unforgettable touch to it all. I really like how you gave the metal and the wood texture - I especially like the pole on his back.

If I were to give to critique - and I'm not very good at this - I'd say, as hard as it is, try to give the actually hammer a little more shape to it, by making sure you give it a real spherical look to it. Also darken some of the shadows to give it a more dramatic and powerful look, if that makes sense. XD

Awesome work, he is most definetly one of the sexiest dwarfs our there.
