Find the newer version here:While running my calendar project i got asked how to add journal skins several times. So maybe this will help to make it easier for you.
And sorry for random clicking, but i got confused a few times lol and also picked one wrong images, but maybe it's not that bad to show you that you can still edit that then

After creating the code and images, yes. This is the old way to do it though. In the description you will find a tutorial for the new sta.sh based upload.

When writing your code you define already what images goes where. During the uploading process you will first finish the overall information and later you upload the single images you have used in your code before.

What exactly is "this"? What is shown here is just the category/gallery selection of where to submit the skin to.

This and coding a journal is different. Uploading a journal is the step after it has been coded. So if your journal is already done, why do you need someone who should code it?

This was changed with the new version of journal updates, but basically it is still the same process-wise.

I can't figure out how to do this at all. I can't see what you're doing WORTH POOP ;.; I had someone make me a journal skin but they didn't want to upload it... they sent me the codes to use in a journal skin but I want to upload it to DA and I cant figure out how... for some reason I have a new stupid layout when submitting art and it's really confusing I can't figure it out at all.. so I went to an old Deviation and edited it I was able to actually submit an image and the code text with it set to ' deviatart related, deviantart skins and scripts, journals & gallery skins, installable journal skins. ' which normally doesn't work without the code text document ( obviously ) but when you were completing part ' 3 ' it said to fill in all the info but I don't know the text//codes you put into the artist comment area ;.;
Then when you submit and say you need to upload images I don't get that page at all.... it just finishes uploading as a normal image.. 
I don't know what to do! I also don't know what to do for the little images because someone else made it for me because I don't know how... >_<"

This is an old tutorial (you can see if it you take a look at the date it was submitted). The submission page did change a lot during the time, so the steps will be slightly different.
No code from the actual journal is needed for the artist comment area though. It's optional and can be ignored.

Not sure what you mean with that. When you want to upload an installable skin, you will get asked to upload them later during the submission process, but first of all you need a working code with the right structure.

ok it looked weird like you copied and pasted something like a code I couldn't really see because the quality of the vid -.-; I did finally get my skin up and working though C: I had someone make me the codes and send them to me but it was a big pain figuring out how to make it work ;.;
I know how to submit now but I don't know how to make codes... I tried searching it up but I couldn't understand any of it X_X

You can download the video for better quality.
Coding takes a bit of time and needs quite some learning to get used to it. It won't happen overnight. You could check #eCSSited . There are plenty of different resources that help to learn CSS.
