Paint/Conversion/Photo: MyselfThis is a post of models I've already painted. I wanted to show the size difference between them so those interested in buy the Micro Arts Studios legs can see how they'll turn out.

Looks great, would love to give all my Marines a size increase to stand more out vs guards and other stuff. But the work and the prize.... and there are many cool models that are almost impossible to convert.

Oh, thats not my concern. Its $$$ and I rarely use Terminators anymore. 4th edition I almost always had 2 squads, but not anymore.

assault termies are really only useful if you put them in a land raider or march them across the table. deep striking just makes them an expensive distraction.

I've used a Stormraven.
But back in 4th you could have 2 assault cannons per 5-man squad. So DSing them in and getting to have those 2 Asscans rip something open usually worked out well. Not a tactic I'd try now though.

I forgot about the Stormravens! I'm gonna have to try that now.
Yeah I remember when Terminators were the pinnacle of badassery. I would argue though that if you use them craftily they can still serve a purpose. Take an assault squad for example, add a Sanguinary Priest (Feel No Pain is lots of fun with Termies) and stick your HQ with them. It's like putting him behind a regenerating wall that shoots back. On the other hand, if your HQ needs to get close enough to gargle with your opponent's arterial fluids I'd stick with a standard Honour Guard.

I've taken to using Dante with a squad of Sang Guard. And since I use 2 Furioso Dreadnoughts, I can't have Termies AND a priest. Now in 6th edition with the percentage system, that might change.

Your conversion is outstanding too! I LOVE the way that termy looks, just gorgeous (in a fearsome way!)

hehe, thanks! I have to be honest and mention that I used that 'Eavy Metal book GW put out. I messed with the technique a little on the second one (i used brass instead of mixing the correct base colour) and it looks waaaay darker but still pretty cool. By the time i got to the third model I got the hang of it.

The MAS kits definitely add a sense of "true scale" to the Terms, especially when placed up against the GW SMs.
The conversion is nicely done. Do the MAS pieces and the GW pieces fit rather easily, or is there some work involved to get a clean fit?

the MAS legs were a piece of cake! the shoulders and shield are Scibor Monstrous bitz and those needed some serious work to get them to fit. the torso, hammer, and shield arm were standard issue.
