i made this model for a international 3d competition, sponsored by Boxx workstations, (hence the name).the objective of the competition was to create a mining dorid, that is a self guided robot that has 3 operating modes, mine, flight and attack mode.
this model was done in 3d max, and the textures were done in photoshop.
i have spent allot of time and though in to this piece, and over all i like it very much ,
i planned this droid so that it will be a mass production, very crude, massive, like a catapillar, that will have no problem drilling ,and mining in the harshest enviorments, even his head and sensors were planned to take a beating and still function.

on the lower left hand frame.. where everything is numbered.. the #1 model appears to have the 827 on the opposite side as the rest of them... it could just be me..

well, in the front page, in the news, it says bare galleries 9 (i think), it's a feature to meant to show pieces from galleries that aren't so popular when compared to the wallpaper ones and such.
