And here they are at last! Who needs backup when Remington's got Team Fighters on his side?
I want to give a shout-out to for allowing me to use her design for T-Pup here. It's relatively close to his appearance in Archie comics, albeit in a cuter and more expressive way. Shira-Hedgie is a god-tier Sonic artist, and I have several of her submissions saved for reference. I especially love the way she draws Amy, which led me to redraw her a few times to compare. It's something I need to keep working on...

(personally I relate most to characters that take high stakes seriously and I felt like mentioning that if I had an oc in there- he or she would be just like Remington. no smugness just a burning will to cut the head off the snake)
and yes- Tails’ use of his own bots (reguardless of how often he’s used them before) is a great touch on top of it all to physically tell the gravity of the stakes

Glad to see Lien-Da getting some attention, content with her has been scarce and you write her dialogue well.
Lovely art style you have and that Tails tail spinning works so well with that smug face (I've noticed in the comics he can pull of a really good smug face).

I'm not a fan of this portrayal of Team Fighters. Standing on top of a pile of their defeated (living) enemies, nasty expressions on their faces and T-Pup happily biting a downed Legionnaire makes them look like complete assholes on this page. Sonic's the kind of guy who'll kick your butt but he'll smile playfully while doing it, here it seems like he's getting a sadistic thrill out of it. Which is exactly the sort of behavior I'd expect from Scourge and his gang.

I wanted to draw the Legionnaires lynched from the street arches with their bowels hanging out and Team Fighters dancing around the pools of blood, but I figure that would be pushing it.

It looks like at least a couple of those Legionnaires are sleeping with their eyes open. LOL! And I guess if anyone has the right to twirl his own tail, it's Tails.
Remington has been carrying that gun around since he saved Bimmy, so I hope he's going to use it (otherwise it just feels like an accessory). And honestly I don't see how she can't know he's her nephew. After all, didn't Finitevus save him after the creepy Egg Grape incident solely because of his lineage? I don't see how she could be unaware of it after he was spouting about his birthright, blah blah blah.
Honestly I'm really hoping you branch off from what happened in the comics here. As fun as battles are, we've already seen it. I'm looking forward to the plot moving forward so that we can see something new!

Remington already fired the gun on page 5 to shoot the Legionnaires at the gate. It'll get plenty of use, don't worry. I'll review Lien-Da's relationship with Remington later, but it's worth noting that Remington was separated from the Dark Legion as a baby and he's been enemies with them ever since, so I don't think family ties are a priority just now.
I won't copy the battle beat-for-beat from Sonic #243 because I agree it will be repetitive, but I want to keep some similarities in order to tie my comic to the issue upon which it's based.

family ties... ok, lets see here, the dark legion and the guardians come from the same lineage as the founders were brothers, so considering that knuckles is(?) dating Julie-Su, who is Lien-Da's sister(?), and they are all mortal enemies, i dont think that family matters much for that line...

I might be wrong, and if I am I'm totally fine with being proven wrong. But I've noticed that the legionaries(excluding Lien-da) are heftier that the other echidnas we have seen. Is there a reason for that?
I forgot to add this, but Remington looks amazing in the first panel! I especially love how you made the angle, it makes him look more courageous!

Uh... really? I don't think I drew the Legionnaires any bigger than regular echidnas. Maybe their robes just make them appear that way. And yeah, I like the way Remington turned out in the first panel too. Thanks.
