Description
[SU #35]: New Mobotropolis recently came under attack by the Battle Bird Armada where they used their flying battle fortress to annihilate Castle Acorn. The city was evacuated at the time, so no lives were lost.Behold Castle Acorn! This event is a retelling of the opening ceremony that took place in Sonic #247 where Elias "the true king" and Geoffrey St. John "Naugus' agent" were conspicuously absent. This is actually the first page that I drew for this issue. I was getting tired of drawing Team Fighters at Albion, so I skipped forward to illustrate a page with Team Freedom back in New Mobotropolis. It's been sitting on my hard drive for months, but I only recently edited it to feature our first two Patreon fan characters! In the third panel we have:

I must confess than im surprised about the kindness of Rotor. He always have been gentil but now i see him giving a good answer than isnt negative but its realistic. He have hope but understand the situation.
Its only personal. But i love to see Cream thinking about Sally situation because I love Cream and Sally is my favorite character.

Once again, Big never fails to creep me out by having his round yellow eyes giving a blank stare directly at the reader.
Also, is it just me or does Cream seem a little too oblivious on this page? Even someone as kind as her would be smart enough to realize that someone like Eggman would most likely not respond to any letters that scold him for impoliteness.

I'm not sure Rotor will be able to keep that promise, and its more than just a gut feeling. Also I like how Big is devoid of any emotion as Cream and Rotor conversate. I know that's how Big usually is, but in the lower panels, it's almost like he's staring straight into my soul with those dead yellow eyes of his.

I have a theory that Big was so traumatized by the horrors of war and seeing his friends getting blown apart that he developed a thousand-yard stare. That's my headcanon for the guy.
