Description

Standard kit of the Confederacy and Pact forces before the confederacy switches to the Series 73 armor type. The white bands are something that Pact soldiers started applying to themselves since the had not really had any printed out flags of their hastily assembled nation outside of a select few.

The Varnim Pact is a breakaway group of systems on the outer edges of the confederacy. Unlike the majority of the other kit images I've done, they do not really have much of standard anything outside of the armor and uniforms. Being mostly made up of poor, underdeveloped, or non atmospheric mining colonies, they don't have much of a unified industry towards making weapons, let alone barely for the armor. For the most part the army uses confederate gear they took when they broke off, however, they'll for the most part use just about anything they get their hands on.

When they originally broke off, it was due to political grief of the inner Confederate colonies not contributing enough to the federal army, and the outer colonies that now make up the Varnim Pact being the ones sacrificing everything. Being on the frontline of pirate attacks constantly, the Varnim Pact nations started refusing to fight the pirates, and outright allowing them to raid inner Confederate nations/member states and colonies. To a lesser extent, outright supplying and funding the pirates to not raid them instead. When this was discovered, the rift between inner and outer colonies had become too large, and the outer colonies decided they would leave and make their own nation. The Confederates, however, did not see this the same way. Having been dealing with pirates because of the pact, and this betrayal of these systems, the Confederacy launched an all out war on the Pact.
The problem was, however. Much of the Confederacy's military had been filled by people from the outer colonies. Fleets and armies defected to the Pact, and the Pact had gotten the upper hand.
