Bio:
* Ruler of all Equestria, and the one who brings both Day and Night to the world. It is said that, because she has the Spirit of the sacred Alicorn, she is immortal and does not age like others do.

* Her sister, Princess Luna, became jealous of her and so transformed into the evil Nightmare Moon. Because of the bond they share as sisters, Nightmare Moon is able to hide herself from Celestia's magical senses, making it impossible for the Queen to track her down now that she has escaped.

* When she and Luna ruled together, Celestia and her sister controlled the full power of the Elements of Harmony. When Luna became Nightmare Moon, however, the loss of Harmony between them meant they could no longer use the Elements. Celestia still wields the full power of the Sun, however, and that alone makes her a force to be reckoned with.

* At all times, Celestia maintains a calm, almost-detached demeanor, but also attempts to show her subjects a sense of compassion and understanding.

* She takes her responsibilities very seriously, and always attempts to do the best possible job as Equestria's ruler. However, a part of her wishes she were not so revered and could in fact be a closer friend to her subjects; especially now that she no longer has Luna to confide in, this sense has only deepened. She is thus thankful for Twilight Sparkle, the one person she can think of who can truly understand her.

* She also has a pet Phoenix, Philomena, who has been at her side since she was a child. Philomena possesses the ability to use its Flames of Reincarnation to transform into a powerful fighting machine, which Celestia sends to aid the Ponyrangers, but only in times of dire need; using the power drains Philomena's inner flame, without which she will die.
