Ph34r my colors <3I wont be submiting things for a while cuz i have to work on comic D:
Or should i say - won't be submitting things as often as i used to. I have deadline pretty soon and only a few pages done >_>
It's rather WIP scrennies + some basic explanations how to make smecksy lineart <3 and sum ramblings bout filters i like to use XD <3
And that's all <3

i've got just one question, though. during the WIP of 'overcome', you add a Noise filter, but in the next image (as well as the final version of 'overcome') the effect is different. Somewhat like very small polka dots.
I'm just curious to know how you obtain this effect in your pictures.

ah i used that so show ppl filters i'm using XD
to make that dots you need image at 300 dpi resolution *usually around 3000 px height* then duplicate layer with your picture, and without changing anythiing use that filter. then make duplicated layer as soft light or color burn or whateva and lower opacity and tadah XP

Great! And helpful too. Do you have a lightbox? or do you prefer drawing on the actual picture again? I usually have way too many lines on my page to erase such a copious amount of pencil. >_< My photoshop inking is usually shaky. Maybe I'm just not fast enough with it. Or maybe I just need practice. ^_^;

awww i wish i had a lightbox D: when i draw too much on sketch then i usually use a glass and a lamp lol XD; but lately i avoid doing hard lines in sketch and do them really lightly so theres no problem with erasing
to avoid shaky lines use 200-300 % of the zoom <3

Light boxes are awesome. My stepdad built me one and there are a bunch of instructions on the internet about making them. I guess they're pretty easy to make, just expensive to buy. o_o
Cool. ^_^ Thanks for the tip. ^_^ I still love doing my inking by hand but when I get pressed for time I wish I could do better photoshop inking. It's not that I do or don't avoid dark lines I just tend to scribble allll over the place and tighten up later. *w*

and a bout the pixelate filter .. i tried the color halftone but i didn't know how to use it !!

you should check with noise by yourself. the smaller image the smaller number should be used.
as for halftone, if you have whole pic done, duplicate the layer, and make a color halftone (leave all numbers like they are to see the result) and make the halftone layer at overlay or color burn and lower opacity. thats all

ive tried making... like... lineart on here, except how do you make the lines like not like \/\/\/\/ haha... i cant do it so that the line is smooth T_T;;;

like i wrote you need a 200% of the zoom on image to avoid ^^^^^^ XD; or even 300 if you have a weird tablet D: unless you draw with a mouse... D:
