thank you - it's one of my favourite works, this one.

ah, I've been dreaming about an Assassin's Apprentice movie for a while now... it would be such a perfect trilogy!!

You're welcome!

Especially if Peter Jackson(LOTR) were to direct it. *imagines it*

Sorry... XD

I'm already doing it (dreaming of it)! I've even tried to decide on actors. XD

I do that too for book series, but I've never tried for Assassin - because I think they'd get new actors for the roles... But I want Gerard Butler for Burrich.

Good pick! And I want Jeremy Irons for Chade. XD Oh, and the guy who did Prince Albert in "The Young Victoria" for Verity. Because he's good looking. XD

I still haven't seen 'The Young Victoria' - I know, shame on me (thank you for reminding me of it by the way, I'll look for it).

But Jeremy Irons for Chade - oh how perfect would that be?

(It was good, and the wardrobe was amazing. XD)

Just amazing. XD But who for Fitz?

googoolini In reply to SirWongIII [2010-04-30 11:10:28 +0000 UTC]

A great part of why I love period films so much is the wardrobe... I can be annoying to people who watch them with me, because I keep squealling at the dresses and the men's coats...

I've no idea who would make a good Fitz. It'll have to be two actors anyway - a child and a teenager...

XD That'd be me if I hadn't become so self-concious about laughing or sqee-ing during movies... I don't have the same taste as my family... ><

Hrm... ... [link] Him? *found him by googling* Maybe...?

Fitz is such a great character... He's one of my favourites, and I was so happy at the end of the storyline.

It's my pleasure to compliment fine work.
I heartily agree, Fitz's character development through the whole story is so deep and convoluted. It's absolutely lovely, as is all of Hobb's work. As a budding writer myself, I look up to her work so much!

Woah!!!! My favourite author. That is a brilliant impression of Fitz.

Man I am glad he got a happier end this time around. I was shirty for weeks after the original trilogy.

oh yes, I was glad for that too! though I was a bit sad he didn't get to say a proper goodbye to the Fool, at least he got the life he deserved, poor man!

I don't think it would have been a good parting.

Too much to say, a lot better left unsaid.

I think they both knew the "dance was over" and it was time to part ways.
