Description
Hiya Deviants! Not sure how much of a tutorial this is, as it's just to show how I work with some of my images.
Each job I do can be very different (as you'll see in my gallery), so this is just one way, for one style.
I've tried to explain it in a way that will work for people that work with a mouse too, and not just a tablet.
I've also tried to explain WHY I do some of the things in places too, so I hope it's not too much waffle
There are probably plenty of ways to get to the same end result, this is just the one that I use
Sorry that it's a bit boring, and the airbrush part was REALLY hard to explain without being in a video
It's also a bit rushed as I had to squeeze it between jobs, and internet issues, so please excuse any bad spelling etc.
I really hope it helps some of the peeps on here though.
p.s. :- I know Bambi has a missing foot. I used a pic from the book I was working on

It may.
I might eventually clean up some comic pages using these techniques, since I really want to do the art in color now.

for colouring, Soft edge brush at 20% opac, and soft edge eraser at 100% opac
Are you using illustrator, or photoshop for the line work?

I mean Illustrator brush settings. But thanx anyway.
I use both Illustrator and Photoshop, depending on time I have and quality that is required

Sorry, really late reply! I didn't see your second comment. Think it got lost in the other ones
The illustrator settings, you can either use the tapered brush that comes with illustrator, and adjust the stroke to be the thickness you want it to be.
Or, I made a custom brush as sometimes the one that comes with CS4 is VERY hit and miss. I'll see what I can do about putting it up on here asap
