Description
i wanted to create the feeling of murkiness. being submerged in this field of blue. the idea for this image popped into my head whilst i was at the movies earlier this afternoon.once again using photoshop to paint with-- most of the images were added using the overlay feature in the layers pallette-- my feature of choice lately.
overall this piece took about 4 hours to complete with a small break inbetween.

I do not understand your explanation of the technique but the results are wondrously expressive.

I went quickly and looked at what appealed to me ... something about these selections really seemed so interesting to me. Perhaps, the colors, the themes.

the colours are definitely nice and juicy and vibrant... though I look back at this piece and it seems so... amateurish. lol.

i really love the composition on this one. is rather different from the recent ones you are sharing now. you've choosen a dominant colour and used the circles to reach the square shape in contrast with the blue. i like the different blue tonalities. in my opinion, a brilliant piece. (sorry for the english mistakes)

wow, you went back into the gregoriousone archives. It's funny how one's opinion of one's work changes over time-- when i first made this back in july of 04 i loved it, now i look back and see the flaws and the mistakes-- i was still so new with photoshop and my skills weren't nearly as developed as they are now--- so yes it is definitely quite different from what you have been seeing from me lately. The concept i think still works, it's the execution that im not as pleased with anymore.
thanks for the taking the time to look at it and comment tho (your english is fine by the way)

The textures are great and the blue is really deep, it's a very rich piece and feels more like overall painted than digital work.

Excellent work. This makes me think of dreamscapes, lost words and forgotten realms. The use of brown in the bottom part of the image gives very good structure to the piece.

overlays in combo with the burn/dodge tool and a lil bit of erasing are a-ok in my book !

initially I sw somethig entirely different...I saw a boardwalk running parralel to a dock. then you see something in the water...something bright and orange. the object seems to magnify itself into clarity.
