I really love the points you bring up in this, and I don't think most people realize that when they make characters. When I did trades I'd get people asking me to darw the most complicated character designs, it was really tedious. lol
And I love characters that put focus on one spot by using a color. A creature/species/thing I created are a canine shaped character with a light natural body color with darker points on the ears and tail, and to really bring focus to their face it's always pure white with a bright mark over the eyes, like a mask.
btw I really love the shades of orange you use for your characters.

yeah my chars look boring cause they are normal animals XD
i have not enough fantasy for that like i hat as a child :/ 27 old ... only a few years till im dead XD

doesnt have to look borring even though they are normal characters, My top fave character that i own is william, hes a borring grey wolf with a plain shirt and pants, totally borring, but his personality is far more epic than anything else ive ever made xD
