Description
Photo (taken with a mobile phone - may scan it properly later) of a drawing of my own fan character Foresight .Done on A2 coloured paper in marker and pastel crayons for an elecive in Presentation Drawing. The reason I did this was that I was allowed to pick my own topic for the last drawing. For example, a project you were working on. Basically, drawing a product of some sort, say a MP3 player or camera properly would have sufficed, but meh. Thought it was a tad more challenging to draw Foresight.
Together with the instructor we decided the design was best portrayed through a transformation process to show that the aircraft is the robot and how everything works (well, approximately anyway
Still pondering on doing something more with the background (thinking of adding a sort of flow to strengthen the order of transformation) and I'd like to add something to the empty space. Thinking of either side/front/top views of the vehicle mode or side and front views of a close up of his head. Alternatively, I could add his tech specs.
Will have to think about this a bit more.

Your style is more mechanically adept though.

A fabulous design, and a great drawing to boot! Rarely do we see such a great transformation played out of original characters. the white space could be filled in with a portrait, or maybe wireframe of isometric projections(schematics) of the character

Yeah, one of the tutors suggested doing the name there.
Might experiment with some white paint outlines too. Provided I can obtain the goods somewhere and I don't utterly fear I'd ruin the lot...

Simply impressive! The part I love the most besides the transformation sequence is the type of paper used and the way you took the picture I don't know. It gives it a special feeling.

Thanks and type of paper is rather common for marker use - simply picked a paper colour I thought suitable for this teint. The camera though, I dunno, the flash probably illuminated the center a bit more. It does seem to have made it a bit darker than the actual paper is. >.>
