They sat down and began. Throughout the meal they conversed at length about what their friends might be up to at this point. However, the term “conversing” might be a bit of a stretch, as it was mostly Lynne talking while Adie stuffed her face. “You have to keep up or there won’t be any left for you,” Adie teased halfway into her 3rd plate. Lynne looked down to see that she had only barely finished her second. Even so, she was already bloated beyond belief.
They kept going. With the mood she had gotten in, Lynne wouldn’t be surprised if Adie ate the plates, too. Lynne leaned back in a daze, having to pant a little to catch her breath. “How are you still going at this pace?” she asked with the slightest bit of disbelief in her voice. “Oh, come on, you know how much I love food! My tummy just doesn’t limit me. She’s a trooper who loves all the food I shovel into her just as much as I do!” Adie responded. Adie clearly knew her stomach well, seeing as how at this point, it had expanded so much that it was beginning to envelope the table (as though it was trying to eat that as well). Lynne gave a sigh as she sat back up and dove back in. I’ll try to keep up, Lynne thought, but if I don’t finish this I have a good feeling that she’ll be more than happy to help.
